About San Martin de los Andes
Cerro Chapelco, the ski resort serving the Patagonian town of San Martin de los Andes in Argentina's Neuquen province, rises through ancient lenga forests from about 1200 m to 1980 m, with sweeping views of the Lanin volcano and the surrounding Lake District. One of Argentina's most attractive resorts, it offers a varied mix of wide groomers, tree-lined runs and steeper upper pitches, served by a base gondola and a network of chairlifts. With ski schools, rentals, mountain restaurants and the charming lakeside town nearby, Chapelco suits families and all abilities through the southern winter.
