About Snowbird
Snowbird, in Little Cottonwood Canyon near Salt Lake City, is famed for some of the deepest, driest powder in North America and a long season often running into May. An aerial tram climbs from the 2365 m base to Hidden Peak at about 3353 m (11,000 ft), serving roughly 2,500 acres and 140 trails. The terrain is renowned for its steeps - the Cirque, Great Scott and Mineral Basin - but also offers the long Chip's Run for intermediates and gentle beginner zones. Slope-side lodging, ski schools, rentals and reliable snow make it a powder pilgrimage.
