About Big Sky
Big Sky, in the mountains of southwest Montana, is one of the largest ski resorts in the United States, with around 5,800 acres of terrain and a base near 2286 m climbing to the 3403 m (11,166 ft) summit of Lone Peak, reached by an aerial tram. Its enormous variety runs from gentle groomers and big beginner areas to wide intermediate bowls and serious expert terrain, including the legendary Big Couloir off the peak. Modern high-speed chairs, famously short lift lines, ski schools, rentals and a growing base village make it a destination for big-mountain skiing.
