About Crans-Montana
Crans-Montana, a chic twin resort on a sunny plateau at about 1500 m above the Rhône valley in Valais, offers around 140 km of pistes facing south with sweeping views of the Alps. Rising to the Plaine Morte glacier at about 2900 m, it combines snow-sure high-altitude cruising with tree-lined runs lower down, and hosts Alpine Ski World Cup races on the Nationale piste at Mont Lachaux. Wide intermediate terrain, gentle beginner areas, a snowpark, off-piste and a long glacier descent sit alongside ski schools, rentals, smart shops and mountain restaurants in a relaxed, upmarket setting.
