About Obergurgl-Hochgurgl
Obergurgl-Hochgurgl, at the head of the Ötztal in Tyrol, is one of Austria's highest and most snow-sure ski areas, nicknamed the Diamond of the Alps. Around 112 km of well-groomed pistes rise from the village at about 1930 m to roughly 3080 m, with the Obergurgl and Hochgurgl sectors linked high above the valley. Reliable natural snow, a long season into spring, gentle high-altitude cruising, steeper challenges and easy off-piste sit alongside ski schools, rentals and panoramic mountain restaurants in a quiet, upmarket village.
