About Kitzsteinhorn & Maiskogel (Kaprun)

Kaprun in Austria's Salzburg region is home to the Kitzsteinhorn, Salzburg's only glacier ski area, open most of the year up to around 3029 m. Snow-sure glacier pistes, high-alpine off-piste and the panoramic Gipfelwelt 3000 viewing platform sit above the village, while the family-friendly Maiskogel - linked to the glacier by the 3K K-onnection gondola - rises straight from the valley at around 768 m. Together with neighbouring Zell am See on the shared Ski ALPIN CARD, it offers terrain for all levels, plus ski schools, rentals and mountain restaurants.
