About Hakuba
Hakuba, in the Northern Japan Alps of Nagano, is one of Japan's premier ski destinations and hosted alpine and ski-jumping events at the 1998 Winter Olympics. Its flagship Happo-One area rises from the valley at about 760 m to 1830 m, with wide groomers, the legendary Olympic downhill course and steep upper slopes - all blanketed by famously deep, dry powder. Part of the larger Hakuba Valley, it offers terrain for every level, night skiing, ski schools, rentals, restaurants and easy access from the lively village below.
